Our programs
GFWC Florida clubs are free to choose the projects and initiatives that best serve their communities. This work is guided by five community service program areas and two signature programs, a framework that helps clubs learn from one another, share resources, and create statewide impact rooted in local action.
Community Service Programs
Arts & Culture
Supporting local artists, preserving cultural heritage, funding arts education, and making creative experiences accessible to everyone in the community.
Civic Engagement & Outreach
Encouraging voter participation, supporting women in leadership, partnering with local governments, and building stronger connections between clubs and their communities.
Education & Libraries
Funding scholarships, supporting literacy programs, advocating for public libraries, and expanding access to STEAM education for students across Florida.
Environment
Protecting Florida’s waterways, ecosystems, and natural resources. From Everglades preservation to neighborhood park cleanups, Florida’s clubs take their environment seriously.
Health & Wellness
Promoting physical and mental well-being through community health programs, awareness campaigns, and initiatives that support women and families across the state.

Domestic & Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention
GFWC’s signature program. Florida clubs raise awareness, support local shelters and hotlines, and advocate for legislation that protects survivors and strengthens prevention programs.

Florida clubs raise awareness, support local shelters and hotlines, and advocate for policies that protect survivors and strengthen prevention efforts.
The GFWC Juniors’ Special Program advocates for children by working to ensure that they are protected from harm, encourage healthy physical and emotional lifestyles, and impact policy to improve children’s lives.
