Civic Engagement & Outreach
We are all part of something larger than ourselves. The GFWC Civic Engagement & Outreach community service program is built on the belief that active, engaged citizens are the foundation of healthy communities. Florida’s clubs work across four broad areas: citizenship and civic participation, crime prevention and disaster preparedness, supporting those in need, and honoring military personnel and veterans.

What this program covers
Citizenship & civic participation
Encouraging voter registration, civic education, and active participation in local government. Informed, engaged citizens make stronger communities.
Crime prevention & emergency preparedness
Partnering with local law enforcement, supporting neighborhood safety programs, and helping communities prepare for Florida’s severe weather seasons.
Supporting those in need
Working alongside shelters, food banks, and social service organizations to support neighbors experiencing homelessness, hunger, and hardship.
Military & veterans support
Honoring the men and women who serve, through care packages, events, advocacy, and programs that support veterans and their families across Florida.
