for ALL FFWC electronic communications. A Yahoo group has been created shown above. This is not a chat group. Anyone wishing to receive notices must sign up for that group. All group members will have access to files, databases, past messages, etc posted on the group page. Each club should select at least one person (but anyone may join) to receive these mailings to bring to their clubs. All chairmen, directors, board members are also encouraged to join. No jokes, chain letters, warnings, etc will be sent, this is strictly for FFWC news and announcements.

The FFWC president has privileges to post to this group. All other postings must be sent to the Club Comm chairman at ffwc.clubcomm@yahoo.com. (This is her private email, no one else will see it.) The chairman will post that note to the group if the FFWC President deems it appropriate, which then allows everyone to receive the posting. Individuals are not allowed to post to the group directly.

It is your responsibility to maintain the correct email address with the group.  If you are not receiving notices, then you have changed your email address or your mailbox is full.

When you join the group, you will need a Yahoo ID. If you ever created one, you can use it. If you do not have one, you will be instructed on how to obtain it. You will have the choice to create a free Yahoo email address. If you chose to do that, you will not have to enter any other email address, BUT, you must remember to go to www.mail.yahoo.com and log in with your ID to see the mailings. That is usually not easy for members to remember. You can also enter an “alternate” email address (the personal one you use) and the mailings will appear in your regular email program. That is a preferred way to do it. You can edit your “marketing preferences” in Yahoo to eliminate junk mail from advertisers they use (not the rest of your junk mail!) You only need to enter fields marked by an * and they don’t have to be true, except be sure you make yourself over 18! The confirmation page will have a line that says “Edit Marketing Preferences”, you can go to the end of the section and click on “clear all”, all the checked boxes will then clear. This will prevent marketing emails. Any other information you chose to submit is your choice.

If you have a Yahoo ID, then click on Join on the first page and use your ID. If you need one or want another one, click on Join and then click on Sign up at the next page.
