What's Happening at Fall
Board??!!??
Join your FFWC Executive Committee at Fall
Board 2008 as we go Down on the Farm. Pack your denim duds and
overalls and join us for a special time -- there will be workshops,
bluegrass music, Marketplace, shopping, a special speaker on Heifer
International and another on One Voice for Children, a different
kind of auction, and maybe even some country dancing. Remember to
bring one or two non-perishable food items/canned goods to donate to
Second Harvest Food Bank on Friday night. Make your hotel and room
reservations now. Y'all come!

FUNDRAISING FLOP!

Contact your state
Fundraising Chairman, Libby Sewell (ehsewell@comcast.net),
with a brief description of a fundraiser that your club had that
FLOPPED! We will be reviewing these at the Fundraising Workshop at
Fall Board and award a fabulous prize for the club brave enough to
admit their failure. Remember, we all learn from each other and
sharing the “bad” is just as important as sharing the good things
that happen in our clubs. Please include club name and a contact
person that may be contacted by state chairman.

"FFWC Bell Cows",

the Leaders of Education, will
present an udderly, bell- ringing workshop with moo-ific
education projects and information. The whole herd will be
there including four moo-arvelous guest speakers on
education.
Down on the
farm, "Old McNoah Had An Ark" will feature moo-music keeping
the workshop alive with singing. The whole herd will be
there, the cows are coming home and the pigs are flying in.
So stomp on over for a moo-ific education department
workshop that promises to be...simply bovine! |

The Domestic Violence workshop will be
held at 5:15 on Friday evening. Domestic Violence
was voted the Signature project of the GFWC this past summer
in Chicago. The workshop will include a skit titled -
Why does She Stay - narrated by past FFWC President
Linda Boyd. We
will also have a surprise speaker from our own Federation
and a new and exciting DV project will be announced. Please
plan to attend this very interesting workshop.

Did you spend a lot of time and energy and wind up with
little "cash"? Come to the Fundraising Workshop and
hear about clubs who had this experience and find out what
YOU can do to avoid having a Fundraising Flop.
Are you

to admit it? One club did so come on, let’s figure out what
could have been done….we know you’re out there?
Members put a lot of time and effort into fundraisers, but
they do not always produce anywhere equal to the amount of
work.....
